Prolific Ynys Mon race organiser and Welsh speaker Dewi Jones has taken on the job of Events Co-Ordinator for Cymru Region and will be trying to find ways of re-establishing TLI Road Racing in the area.

Cymru Region organisers have apparently been told that despite the success of last seasons events and the local Police praise for the standard of organisation once again and in a repeat of the 2009 situation the North Wales Chief Constable has decreed that events will only be given permission if they undertake to use trained Motor Cycle marshalls and / or Accredited Marshalls.

As a hopefully temporary measure Dewi Jones has transferred his events to a motor racing circuit on Anglesey but the fate of the scheduled Llandyrnog events is unclear so they have been removed from the Handbook and the Region calendar.

The final round of the Revolution bikes/TLI Wales winter league was held in dry conditions on the Plas Ffrancon sports centre course in Bethesda Gwynedd. Previous winner in round 3 at Prestatyn, Macclesfield based Paul Bethell riding for his own new team of Team Elite.co.uk / Paul Bethell Electrical, again returned and quickly established a lead that he never lost finishing one lap up on the rest of the riders. Overall series winner Matt Pritchard Revolution bikes was still suffering from his fine victory in 'Hit the North' the previous weekend and had a lonely ride to second place the battle for 3rd on the day was fought between round 7 winner Chris Purt Energi cycles and Ian Evans Halesowen CC, with the result going to the older rider.

Sorry for the delay, but our photos from last Sunday's cross event at Prestatyn are now on line (link below). Zenfolio recently upgraded the Slideshow feature to a full screen display. Sadly, however, it seems that there are some teething problems with it, but an alternative form of viewing images (at still a fairly large size) is possible... please follow the directions on top of the album.
