TLI Cycling

TLI cycling is a self-financing, non-profit making organisation run entirely by volunteers. We ask you therefore to be patient if your inquiries are not always answered by return of post or email.
If you have inquired about joining you will receive an Application Form by post, however one can be printed from this page (scroll down) Cheques and Postal Orders should be made payable to TLI and not to individuals. When you have sent in your completed form to your local Region ( scroll down for list) and your subscription fee, you will receive a Membership Card which is also your Racing Licence, on which will be shown your allotted Age Group - Ability Group. If you have difficulty competing in your Age Group please do ask to be reclassified to a group you feel happier with. You can also choose to ride with a younger or faster group if you desire, reverting to your own group whenever you wish. This does not apply to National Championships when you have to ride in your own Age Group. If a Handbook is available when you submit your Membership Application it will be sent with the card, if not it will be sent to you as soon as it is available.
If you intend to race abroad, please complete your Membership Card by attaching a Passport Style Photo. Please also remember to add Emergency Contact details and sign the Card before sealing the wallet.
The most obvious feature of TLI cycling is the light-hearted approach we have to Cycling and Cycle Racing. Nevertheless despite the rumours you may have heard from other cycling organisations we do adopt a responsible attitude to ail matters of safety and your Membership provides you with Liability Insurance (Third Party) of £5,000,000. This is in force whenever you are racing or taking part in any cycling pursuit organised by TLI Cycling, or in International Cycling Federation events that you have entered as a TLI cycling member. This applies to all competitors and officials, both in the UK and Europe but only in events promoted by Organisations affiliated to the International Cycling Federation.
NB. Our Insurance covers you for claims made against you by non TLI Cycling members, (it does not cover you for personal accident or damage to your cycle or equipment) Should you receive notification of a claim made against you please notify TLI Cycling Insurance Dept 24 Crescent Road, Hale Altrincham, Cheshire. WA15 9NA  immediately. Under no circumstances should any liability be admitted and no dialogue entered into. All correspondence should be forwarded directly to TLI Cycling Insurance Dept. who will liaise with our Insurers on your behalf.
