Invite to the Highland Games
There is a great following for the cycling events at the Highland Games with crowds of five to ten thousand spectators every weekend. The racing is generally handicapped to spread the prize money around all the competitors, £100 firsts are not uncommon and the prize list goes down to 4th and sometimes to 6th placings, a typical programme at each Games is 4 or 5 races with distances from half miles to five miles and usually finishes with a Devil take the Hindmost event. TLI members who fancy having a go and joining the 16 or so regular riders are assured of a warm welcome, please give me a ring for any additional information required.
